Buyer-Intent Search - Finding Customers in Public Communities

Learn how to rank public threads by buying intent and fit rather than triaging noisy keyword alerts.

Keyword alerts notify you of every single mention of a word in chronological order. However, most mentions are chatter or noise. Needle uses semantic intent-ranking to analyze the context of public threads across Reddit, Hacker News, Stack Overflow, GitHub, and other communities. It scores each post based on the author's purchasing mindset and how closely their need matches your product.

Here is how you can set up and run a high-signal search workflow.

Step 1: Describe your offer

You do not need to write complex Boolean queries, regex patterns, or monitor search field rules.

  1. Paste your product's landing page URL or enter a single-sentence explanation of what your product does (e.g. I offer email outreach templates for B2B SaaS startup founders).
  2. Needle reads the page/description to model your ideal customer profile (ICP) and identify the specific vocabulary they use when describing frustrations.

Step 2: Query multiple platforms simultaneously

Instead of hopping across browser tabs and checking platform search bars manually, you execute a single search that runs across:
